Obituary of Jean Allen Battle

BATTLE, Jean Allen, 93, of Tampa, passed away July 7, 2007 in Temple Terrace. He was born June 15, 1914 in Talldega, Alabama. He graduated from Mufreesboro State University. He earned his MA from the University of Alabama and his Ed D from the University of Florida. Jean was a prolific writer and avid reader. He authored with Dr. Robert Shannon, two education text books. Later, he and his late wife, Lucy traveled extensively to Central America, England, Spain, Greece and Russia. He spent many hours researching family geneology and communicating with family members. Jean is survived by her daughter, Carol B. Salmon; grandson, Gregory C. (Suzanna) Salmon; great-grandson, Clipper Gregory Salmon all of Tampa, Florida.
