Obituary of Darwin P Stoll

STOLL, Darwin P. “Captain Sonny”, passed from this life May 29, 2007. Born in Avon Park, FL, he served in the Marine Corps from 1946-1948. He was a resident of Tampa since 1950. He owned and operated Tampa Television Labs until 1964. He became a Harbor Tugboat captain in Tampa Bay for St. Phillip Towing until retirement in 1991, after 27 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn Pate Stoll; and his brother, William H. Stoll. He is survived by his children, Pamela Schrenker (Jerry), David Stoll (Laurie), Melissa (Missi) Stoll (Woody), Steven Pate (Vanessa); and his grandchildren, Zachary and Katelynn Stoll, Susan Bullock (Scott), Charlie Stoll (Elaine), Steven and Janine Pate, and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Ella Bullock; sister-in-law, Barbara G. Stoll, and her children and their families. North Livingston Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, a special tribute in the form of a donation can be made in Sonny’s name to Gulfside Regional Hospice, 6117 Trouble Creek Rd.
