Obituary of Ashley Vivian Brooks

BROOKS, Ashley Vivian Quintana, 54, of Tampa, died March 19, 2007. Also known as VIVA, she is survived by her sister, Sylvia Estrada (Statesville, NC), and by son, John "Woody" Brooks, now being trained by David Hillard (Jefferson Magnet School) to be a chef. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph "Chino" Quintana, local baseball player, and her mother, Rose Blanco. Viva's petite energy made "Mariposa" ("the butterfly") a second nickname. Her memorial will be Saturday, March 31, 2007, on Hillsboro River at 2780 Riverside Drive (1 block from Columbus and Rome), from 3 to 6 p.m. Call 813-935-8320 for details.
