Obituary of Eileen G. Henley

HENLEY, Eileen G., 88, of Temple Terrace, formerly of Rockville, MD, East Chicago, IN, and Sydney, Nova Scotia, died November 3, 2006. She is survived by her daughter, the Rev. Carol E. Henley of Pittsburgh, PA; her son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Edward J. Henley, Jr. and Sheryl M. Henley of Temple Terrace; two sisters, Audrey M. Bienko of Highland, IN, and Dorothy J. Cameron of Arlington Heights, IL; five grandchildren, Paxton Freeman, Cortney Suthard, Paul Henley, Susan Henley, and Michael Henley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Edward J. Henley, inventor and electrical engineer. Eileen received her BMus in piano performance from the Cosmopolitan School of Music in Chicago, IL, receiving a scholarship after winning the Indiana state competition in piano while a student at Washington High School in Indiana Harbor. She devoted her life to being a wife, mother, and piano teacher. The family will receive friends at 6 PM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 13312 Cain Rd, Citrus Park on Thursday, November 9 followed by a vigil service of prayer beginning at 7:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at Temple Terrace United Methodist Church, 5030 Busch Blvd., Tampa on Friday, November 10 at 11:00 AM.
