Obituary of Jeddeth Gay Pope

Jeddeth “Jedd” Gay Pope (92), passed away January 9th, 2024, in Tampa, FL.

Jedd was born and raised a farm girl in Georgia, later moving with her father to Florida, where she lived the rest of her life, raising her family and becoming a real estate broker and small business owner.

Jedd was a member of the Tampa Writers Alliance and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a published writer and enjoyed painting and sculpting and won trophies for skeet shooting.  She loved spending time traveling with family and friends, and will be greatly missed.

Jedd was predeceased by her beloved husband Judge Calvin A. Pope and her daughter  Susan Scalise Caudle and four sisters and a brother.

Celebrating her life and mourning her passing are her children and their families: Son John "Jay" Scalise (Yvonne) and their sons Josh (Heidi) and Nick (Shannon), Josh's son Sebastian (Sophia) and their son Ashton, and daughter Gaye Ann Northcutt (David) and their son Ian (Caroline).

A Celebration of Life will be held February 16th at 1 pm at the Woodmont Club House in Temple Terrace, FL.
