Dorothy Boatright

Obituary of Dorothy B. Boatright

While our family mourns the loss of our beloved mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, we also want to celebrate the beautiful life that we had with her. Dorothy Boatright was born on November 24th , 1929, in Brandon, Florida. She was an accomplished seamstress and chef extraordinaire. The countless family and holiday meals she prepared brought us all together and will never be forgotten. She loved spending time with her family both here in Florida and in South Carolina as well. She also loved being by the water, crabbing and fishing. She was a three-war veteran military wife and is preceded in death by her loving husband, Warren Boatright. She was an incredible mother to her two daughters. Her favorite firstborn, Linda (Bill) Garbini and her favorite baby girl, Joyce Martinez. Her six grandchildren, their spouses and her ten great-grandchildren were so loved and treasured by her. She was always one to care and do for others before herself. Her tenacity and “get up and go” would leave us all in awe. She was truly one to look up to and we love and miss her dearly.

“Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch”
