Obituary of Vera Vance

Vance, Vera M., passed away at the age of 97 on Sunday, July 4, 2021. She was born in 1924 in Donora, PA. She worked as a civil servant at Fort Belvore, Virginia prior to moving to Tampa in 1959, where she became a top salesperson for Avon. Upon moving to Land O Lakes, she managed Frank’s Lock & Key with her husband Frank, to whom she was married for 72 years until his death in 2017.

Vera was bright and witty and put family before all else. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Vance; daughters, Karen Vance Johnson (Richard) and Hope Vance (Martin Tschiderer); granddaughters, Diana Vance Pochis and Finley Tschiderer; great-grandchildren, Damion Pochis, Mikka Pochis, Dawson Pochis and Ariel Pochis; and many great great-grandchildren.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Vera’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send a donation in Vera’s memory to Gulfside Hospice, 2061 Collier Parkway, Land O' Lakes, FL 34639.
